Sky’s Green Shoots competition has now closed.

You don’t need any previous experience or any specialist equipment to create a great short film.

Sometimes the funniest and most inspirational films are created by someone using a family video camera… or even a mobile phone.

We’re looking for short films (up to 60 seconds long) on climate change action: things people can do, things people are already doing, or funny and creative ideas for being climate friendly. You don’t have to be a techie climate change expert to be the perfect person to make a film that will encourage other viewers to take action.

Once you’ve made your film, you upload it to SkyCast and tag it greenshoots.

The competition closing date is midnight on 31 December 2007. That’s plenty of time to come up with an idea – even if you have no previous experience.

The winner will have their clip aired on Sky, with the potential to reach one in three families in the UK. Just imagine the huge positive impact you could make.

In addition you could win a Dream Eco Eden Break for two at The Eden Project in Cornwall valued at £2000. You will travel first class by train to The Eden Project and stay two nights in a five star hotel in Fowey/Watergate Bay enjoying locally sourced food and travelling in a green limousine. On the Saturday there will be a behind-the-scenes-tour of The Eden Project and lunch with some of The Eden Project green gurus. Then the winner and partner will spend the afternoon enjoying a green adventure such as fishing or surfing lesson (to be confirmed with the winner) and dinner at Fifteen in Cornwall before returning by train on the Sunday.

Please make sure you read the Entry Criteria and Terms and Conditions carefully before you submit your film.
